New ESI partner: University of Twente
On 22 March 2018 ESI has had the pleasure of welcoming Twente University in its Partner Board as new member. Prof.dr.ir. Maarten van Steen will represent the university in the board. With this move, Twente University joins TU Delft, TU Eindhoven and Radboud University Nijmegen as academic partner of ESI. Furthermore, the Partner Board has as members from high-tech industry the well-known multinational companies: ASML, NXP, Océ, Philips Healthcare and Thales, next to TNO.
ESI science director Wouter Leibbrandt: “The research that ESI conducts together with its partners into methodologies to master the complexity of cyber-physical systems is crucial for the future of high-tech industry. In order to architect, design, integrate and control the increasingly complex systems of the future we need people that combine an expert knowledge in system architecting and engineering with a deep understanding of the reality of industrial practice and processes. This will assure that our industry will continue to lead the way in creating the ever increasing complex systems that cater to needs of the future.”
