2nd ESI-IESE Industrial Workshop in Eindhoven

On 21 June 2017, the second Industrial Workshop, organized by TNO-ESI (Embedded Systems Innovation) and Fraunhofer-IESE (Institute for Experimental Software Engineering) was successfully held  at the ESI premises in Eindhoven. This series of meetings of industrial partners from the two institutes was initiated following the signature of the ESI-IESE MoU last year. The first workshop was held last year at Fraunhofer-IESE in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

This time the workshop centered around two themes: Software legacy and system architecture & Architectural viewpoints. The themes were introduced by industry participants from Thermo Fisher Scientific and John Deere followed by interactive presentations on the latest results from both institutes, Participants from ASML, John Deere, Océ, Philips and Thermo Fischer Scientific engaged in lively discussions, openly sharing difficult issues and best practices. Topics, format and setting were highly appreciated by all participants, all expressing their wish for this series to continue and to continue participation. From the discussions, new topics emerged in a natural manner for the third workshop which will be held in half a year, this time at one of the industrial partners of Fraunhofer-IESE.

This 2nd ESI-IESE Industrial Workshop in Eindhoven was very well received.
