TNO-ESI Symposium 2016

This 2016 symposium is being organised in partnership with High Tech NL and Fraunhofer IESE as special event associate. We have put together an interesting programme that is centred on the theme:
A Paradigm Shift in Embedded Systems Engineering”.

Keynote speakers

We are proud to have the keynotes delivered by two renowned leaders from the academic and industrial domain. Both speakers will provide a unique insight into future developments for high-tech and embedded systems.

Dieter Rombach

The opening speech will be given by Dieter Rombach, distinguished professor and head of the Software Engineering Research Group (AGSE) at TU Kaiserslautern and Director Business Development of Fraunhofer IESE.

The title of his speech will be: “Industry 4.0 - New Ways of Engineering for the Systems of the Future”.

Dieter Donis

The closing keynote by Dieter Donis, head of Engineering at Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions, will address the symposium theme from an industrial perspective.

The title of his speech will be: "Shaping the future of IoT: Platforms for co-creation, rapid prototyping and successful industrialization".

Presentations, workshops, demonstrations, networking

The programme will also feature a number of parallel sessions with inspiring presentations. These sessions will demonstrate the paradigm shift through a number of key trends in the design and engineering of high-tech and embedded systems. The topics of these parallel sessions are:

In addition, we have set up two interactive workshops
- In the workshop scheduled in the morning, Fraunhofer IESE will address the topic software variant management
- The afternoon workshop is organised by TNO-ESI and will feature model-based testing topics

At the information market you will find a wide variety of examples of latest innovations and state-of-the-art practices.

During the day there will be extensive networking opportunities where you are encouraged to share insights, inspire each other and explore options for future cooperation.
