System Reliability

The system architect is responsible a system fits in its context and that a system has a sound design. Meeting reliability requirements is very important from a business point of view. Not meeting these requirements may result in dissatisfied customers, high warranty cost, and negative business results.

Target audience

The target audience of this course are system designers, system engineers and system architects with a sufficient professional background (5 years or more) in multi-disciplinary system design, and who are in the need of understanding reliability on a system-level scope, or are involved in system design trade-offs.


The objective of this course is to provide understanding and knowledge on:

  • the impact of product reliability on the activities of a company
  • the influence of the reliability characteristics of hardware and software on system reliability
  • engineering techniques and methods to build a reliable system


The master class combines theory and exercises with practical experiences from cases from participants. In advance to the course the participants are requested to prepare a 10-minute presentation on the reliability measures in their system and how this affects their responsibilities.

A confirmation of order and an invoice will be sent.


Cancellation of participation can only be made in writing (letter, fax, e-mail).

When cancellation is made more than one month before the start of the programme € 150,00 administration fee will be charged.

When cancellation is made less than one month before the start of the programma, there will be no refund of the course fee.

It is allowed to nominate someone else to attend in a participant's place, provided that ESI is informed in writing at least one week before the start of the programme. It is not possible to change your participation to a different date.

In case ESI cancels the programme, the full fee will be refunded.
