Competence development programmes

The competence development programmes of ESI are tailor-made to help companies develop top-class lead designers and architects. They are designed to enable engineers to reach their full potential and enable high-tech companies to stay at the forefront of product innovation for embedded systems. It follows a carefully chosen mix of objectives:

Step-by-step programme

This complete programme is split into three sections, each appropriate for different levels of engineering knowledge, experience and responsibility. This approach enables people to grow from being a single discipline engineer to a multi-disciplinary system architect.

Three step approach

Lead designer

Aimed at engineers with a college or university education and at least 4 years of professional experience, this programme nurtures ambitious people into technical leaders capable of directing others in designing high-tech system components. > read more

Domain architect

Taking professionals with 6 years experience who already operate as lead designers, this programme plies their ambition to be responsible for designing dominant subsystems or technology areas and operate in a broader organisational or system context. > read more

System architect

Designed for engineers with over 10 years experience and domain architect proficiency, this programme helps them to develop the skills needed to become top-level system architect. > read more

In cooperation with the High Tech Systems Platform

The strategic goals and objectives of the programme have been developed in close cooperation with the High Tech Systems Platform in the Netherlands.

The programme is partly funded by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, the Provincie Noord-Brabant and the Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven (SRE).
